Joseph PerryPresident
Phone: 202.861.7773 Joseph A. Perry began his financial services career in Washington, DC following his graduation from The American University. At American University, Joe received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in International Studies and Economics and was a member of the Division I golf team. Joe’s first position, following graduation was trading in foreign currencies for a local firm where he was quickly promoted to a Supervisory position. In early 1995, a mutual client referred Joe to the Washington, DC office of Merrill Lynch where he later enrolled in their Financial Advisor training program. Joe graduated from the two year training program early and was among the highest ranked advisors in the firm, based on client asset growth and revenue growth. After five years with Merrill Lynch, Joe joined the Washington, DC office of PaineWebber which was subsequently acquired by UBS. At UBS, and during one of the most difficult periods in market history, Joe continued to refine his portfolio management skills and developed what is now this firm’s Large Cap Strategy.
Despite his successes as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and UBS, Joe and his clients grew increasingly more concerned with the conflicts of interest that existed at the major financial institutions and decided to start his own advisory services firm, which he did in September 2002. Since 2002, Joe has successfully grown his practice both through the continued support and referrals from his existing clients and also through the successful acquisition of two separate firms, first the Daley Financial Group in Portland, ME and more recently Marcia Joslyn Sill, Inc. in Seattle, WA. In both instances, Joe endured a highly competitive process to gain the trust and confidence of two very successful advisers who were seeking the most appropriate successor for their clients as they prepared for their own gradual retirement. It is his privilege to provide both continuity and professional portfolio management to both John Daley’s and Marcia Joslyn Sill’s clientele. Joe continues to travel regularly between all three of our office locations to meet with clients and to oversee the management and growth of our firm.
Joe currently resides in Sammamish, Washington along with his wife, Milanie, their two children Nia and Joseph Jr., as well as their two Siberian Huskies, Piper and Yuki. He continues to be actively involved with a number of charities as well as continuing to be an avid golfer.
